Congratulations to the Town & Country Players on receiving the 2015 Members Recognition Award from the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County!  A community oriented, all volunteer local theater, Town & Country Players have served our community over the past 68 years, currently presenting 6-8 productions annually. They are located in what they lovingly refer to as "The Old Barn" on York Road in Buckingham PA.

Congratulations to our members and friends at New Hope Arts on receiving a grant from PNC Arts Alive for their Outdoor Sculpture Project! Recipients were selected for bold thinking around increasing arts access and engagement. New Hope Arts Executive Director, Carol Cruickshanks, commented on the perfect match between the PNC Arts Alive mission and the essential needs of revitalizing the outdoor exhibition.

Congratulations to Bucks County Community College on celebrating their golden anniversary! Since its founding in 1964, Bucks has brought affordable higher education to residents of the county and beyond. It was launched as part of the burgeoning community college movement in the U.S. that sought to bring college within reach for all citizens.

Congratulations to ACCBC members La Fiocco on receiving a Project Stream grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts!  La Fiocco is a non-profit professional early music organization that performs vocal and instrumental music of the Baroque and early Classical eras.

Dr. Lewis R. Baratz, Artictic Director is also hosting a new radio program, "The Well-Tempered Baroque" on WWFM The Classical Network, located on the campus of Mercer County Community College.

The Arts & Cultural Council has learned that plans for developing Oscar Hammerstein's farm into a theater and museum have been presented to Doylestown Township supervisors.  We understand that this is a somewhat controversial issue for area residents and further information can be found here.  Below is a recent article in the Daily Intelligencer published on Dec. 7th.  Click the blue plus sign to read more.

Congratulations to our board president and arts advocate, Tara King on receiving the Visit Bucks County Award for her significant contribution to the tourism and hospitality industry in Bucks County!  Tara serves as the Executive Director of the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce providing resources and visibility within the Upper Bucks busniess community.  This is a well deserved acknowledgement, once again proving that arts and culture offer a significant contribution to our economic development in Bucks County. Brava!
